Stars Turn Out For The Back-Up Plan Premiere In The United Kingdom & California
The Back-Up Plan premiere at the Hollywood Regency Village Theatre on April 21 drew a huge crowd of both actors and fans. Jennifer Lopez, star of the film, shared the red carpet with co-stars Tom Bosley and Alex O’Loughlin. Other stars in attendance included Heidi Klum and Leah Remini. Lopez had the arm of husband Marc Anthony, as she seemed to float down the carpet.
Marc Anthony was not the only one on Lopez’s arm for this very special premier. When she hit the red carpet, Jennifer was escorted by Nubbins, a handicapped dog who co-stars with her in the film. Nubbins was dressed to impress, with an adorable pink puppy wheelchair decked out in flowers and a flower printed bandana around his neck. We can only expect him to be the new it-guy in Hollywood, and it rumored to be attending the 24 Finale Party.
As adorable as Nubbins’ ensemble was, it was Jennifer Lopez who truly stole the show with her amazing outfit. Looking radiant in silver, Lopez wore a beautiful one-shoulder dress by Gianfranco Ferré. She finished the entire look off with jewelry by Cartier, adorable peep-toe heels by Ferragamo and a hair style reminiscent of a film star from Hollywood’s golden age.
Equally beautiful was the outfit Lopez chose for the film’s London premiere, which was held on April 28, 2010. Jennifer strutted the pink carpet in an unusual but rather striking one-sleeved dress from the Lanvin Spring Collection. Once again, she completed her look with Ferragamo heels and this time she included a clutch purse by Jimmy Choo.
The always-beautiful Heidi Klum was stunning in an Emilio Sosa original. Many will recall that this dress was created during the seventh season of Klum’s Project Runway television show. Contestants on the show were tasked with creating an outfit for Klum to wear and the resulting design was then shortened to highlight the amazing legs possessed by the model/actress.
Australian newcomer Alex O’Loughlin pulled out all the stops for his first major film premiere in a leading role. His dark-colored suit added a classic look, but it was spiced up with a whimsical striped tie that featured a rainbow of colors. Based on his outstanding performance in this movie, viewers have not seen the last of this fun-loving actor.
The Back-Up Plan is a romantic comedy about Zoe, a woman who decides she has waited long enough for love to find her and wants to become a mother on her own. Immediately after taking the steps to become pregnant by herself, she meets Stan, who turns out to be the man of her dreams. Hilarity ensues as Zoe and Stan try to build a new relationship while expecting twins.
If The Back-Up Plan premiere, star studded with beautiful women and dashing men, was any indication, this may be one of the must-see films of the summer. Jennifer Lopez is sure to look as gorgeous on screen as she did at the London and Los Angeles premieres for the film. The Back-Up Plan opened in theatres everywhere on April 23rd.
